Winston-Salem State University stands on a legacy of excellence, but in a quickly changing higher education landscape, it must continuously evolve. WSSU was looking to head off negative perceptions while counteracting declining enrollment trends. They needed a strategic partner to help strengthen their brand from the inside out. Together, we developed a bold approach inspiring brand ambassadors, energizing current students, and attracting future Rams.

HOW WE TOOK CHARGE

We kicked things off with in-depth discovery, gathering insights through formal focus groups and one-on-one engagements across campus. With big goals and complex challenges, our team took an all-hands-on approach, using our Slate expertise to refine the enrollment experience and communication strategy, advising on brand management, and crafting an omni-channel marketing strategy to raise awareness and drive enrollment. From there, we launched Rams Take Charge, a bold, campus-wide campaign designed to inspire action.
