Baker University is Kansas’ first university and a leader in liberal arts education. In a state dominated by large public universities, Baker needed more than a simple refresh. They were looking for a partner to help strengthen their recruitment efforts, unify their messaging, and create a strategy that would resonate with prospective students. Together, we developed a comprehensive approach that modernized their digital presence, elevated their outreach, and reinforced their position as a premier liberal arts institution.
We began with an in-depth discovery process, conducting a communication and digital strategy audit and engaging key stakeholders in meaningful conversations. With clear goals and unique challenges, our team worked closely with Baker to refine their recruitment messaging, optimize their academic program pages for search, and develop a cohesive marketing strategy across print, digital, and social platforms. From there, we launched the Free to Be campaign, an inspiring and student-centered message that highlights the freedom and personal growth that comes with a Baker education. As part of this effort, we also led a social media workshop, training their team of ambassadors on how to create video content for organic social channels to support enrollment.
